I recently went to the Florida Department of Environmental Protections and got a first hand look at what is being done currently to preserve the wetlands of Florida. While there I was intrigued to find that many of the engineers have the same ideas as many humanitarians and despite the number of people who think otherwise, really are working for a greater good and for the health of the earth rather than just to follow codes of the state. It was a great experience over all and of all the research I did, this was the most beneficial and helpful and gleaned a lot of light on my subject matter and helped me get a better understanding for the connectedness between humanitarian efforts to help save the environment and Environmental engineers alike to do the same.
